It's been a listless day. Just floatin' along on a cloud and a whim.
On a topic I discussed with someone earlier... she had just discovered her dad's family crest. It sparked a memory in me, that I had forgotten... I need to create my own goddamn crest. I already know how it'll look, too: there'll be an oak branch across the top, with two acorns. The shield will be gold, with three red chevrons. In the middle will be a chough (cornish crow) carrying a tilted hourglass, mid-flight. The phrase will be "Melius Tarde Quam Nunquam"--"Better Late Than Never". It will be in the type of font you might expect to see on an ancient manuscript in Europe--like the font used on the "M" on my great-grandfather Mark's ring.
